MANY GOOD BUSINESS OPENINGS
There is still Room for More Real Live Business Men
There is probably no other good samll town in this section of the country which offers more or better opportunities for busness openings. What business is now represented is of the best quality but there are not enough. Indications are however that there will be a good steady growth in the spring and many new business establishments will be located in Raleigh as well as many farmers will settle on the excellent soil in this vicinity one of the most important openings at this time would appear to be a good hotel with ample accomodations. Last Saturday when the train tied up here over night it almost impossible to secure lodgings. Raleigh is the regular eating place for the west bound train each day and will continue to be. As it is not a great distance across to Flasher on the Northern Pacific there is considerable traffic across and a good hotel would increase this particular. This is the only coaling point between McLaughlin and Mott and is an important point for the Milwaukee. They have already spent considerable money on improvements and plans call for more. We are fortunate in having a first class eating place the restaurant conducted by Mr. Phelps opposite the depot but on rooms, a good hotel would be a paying proposition and a good thing for the town and our people would appreciate and assist in securing one. A good hotel man with capital who will be welcome.
Another institution which we have not and which should make good is a bank. There several prospects and no doubt there will be one by spring at the latest but the first come will naturally have the lead. The territory is large and country as good as any in this section of state. The farmers industrious and educated in fact everything is right for making a good town and prosperous community which will continue to grow and improve. There is ample business for an institution of this kind.
Mr Busines Man if you are looking for a good location come look Raleigh over and we are sure that you will find ??? right. There are openings for real business men in practically all lines.
LOCAL ITEMS OF INTEREST
(This is included as an indication that "Dog tooth" was still considered as a separate location nearly a year after the P.O. moved to Raleigh)
The basket social and program given by the Dog Tooth school is certainly worthy of mention in this issue. Cultivated talent having displayed by each and every participant. The length of time in which the program was arranged should be considered in the deliverance of the selections. The baskets were sold by Wm. Nultmier very ably and a good amount was realized. Those who were in the attendance report a well passed evening.

The Dogtooth Threshing Co started to thresh grain Monday.
Material is being unloaded here for the new coal docks which will be all modern and up to date that speaks well for Raleigh as both trains will be here for dinner and make Raleigh eating house popular among the traveling public.
A classy little school of twenty one students are now enrolled at Dogthooth [sic] school, making the work interesting, and insturctive [sic]. New seats are a much needed item, and care is being taken to arrange everything conveniently and up to date. A new library has been sent for consisting of book case, and books which will greatly improve the work, and supply necessities.
