This tablet was fixed on McDowell Hall in 1946 to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the founding of King William's School. To this hall in 1785, in the 2nd year of St. John's College, came the students and masters of the school with their books and made one with the new college. This will remind men that all halls of learning are one hall. |
